Doesn't It Hurt?

No. For trichsters, pulling out hair feels good. Why? Because the pulling causes your body to release chemicals that create a feeling of euphoria. Eventually, we have to keep pulling more hair i  order to feel the same rush. Hence why pulling episodes can last hours.
Actually, pulling out hair does hurt…but we don’t feel it because of the chemicals, called endorphins, our body releases. Many of us had a constant stream of endorphins running through our body, so trying to stop pulling is extremely difficult. We suddenly have no “drug" running through our system, so what we feel is sort of like withdrawal.
This is also another reason why I consider my pulling to be self harm, and maybe why trichsters are also drawn to other self harm behaviors.
What’s your opinion?

Marni: An Autobiography of a Trichotillomaniac

I really liked this book. She talks about how quickly her pulling got out of control. I have difficulties expressing my feelings in coherent words, so reading them from someone else is like "OMG! I totally know how she's feeling."

"My pulling was never supposed to take a life of its own- it was never supposed to take over mine."

Product Review: Neutrogena Body Spray

This is a spray for body acne. I was interested because I get a little body acne and body acne washes didn't really seem to do anything, so I picked this up.

Honestly, I really like this product. It's easy to spray and easy to apply. I notice the acne going away, and my skin (slightly sensitive) didn't have a weird reaction to it. It also doesn't have a bad odor, and a little goes a long way.

The best use for this: bikini bumps.

My skin will get irritated if I shave in an odd area (bikini, lower back, etc.) and breaks out. I've tried several different products for razor bumps, but very few work. With this stuff I can just spray it after I shave and my skin will get noticeably better. It can sting a bit, but it's worth it.

Roommate Stories...

Unfortunately, I couldn't room with the roommate I had my freshman year, so I had a different roommate my sophomore year. Honestly, my experiences could have been WAY worse, but nonetheless I wanted to punch her. So here are a few brief things:

-I got stuck putting my dresser in the closet, leaving me almost no room to hang clothes. She, on the other hand, could hang all of her clothes, but hung only about two things.

-She talks in her sleep...in Spanish.

-Her alarm was really loud (you could hear it while taking a shower) and it'd take her 5-10 minutes to wake up and turn it off.

-And then she wouldn't turn it off right, and it'd go off at random times during the day.

-She'd whisper/talk to herself...in Spanish

-She was ALWAYS in the room. I never had any alone time.

-She never wanted the window open when it was 90 degrees outside.
